  • Hospice care is increasingly facing the challenge of transferring its self-conception and individuality into a theory-led action that can be expressed in a suitable nursing model. However, if you try the usual nursing literature, you can hardly find any references to a hospice-specific nursing model. Sometimes an attempt is made to transfer already existing, established nursing theories to the nursing hospice, which often succeeds only in few attempts. Therefore, the question arises as to whether hospices see for themselves the need for a hospice-specific care model and how this can be designed. Based on the results of an interview survey involving 190 stationary hospices throughout Germany, the present work is now attempting to develop a design for a nursing care model for stationary hospices. As a conceptual model, the ' Hospice-care model ' offers first approaches to a theoretical reference or action framework for the palliative care and care of dying people and their associated. This framework of reference or action does not provide for normative structures, but opens up theory-led spaces that enable the dying person to situational in the Concrete Care Act, individually, flexibly and intuitively. The model design should give impetus and guidance for practical action and at the same time contribute to a better palliative care understanding. This is considered as a first step to enable a theorybased, Hospice care practice.
