N2  - Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit Virtueller Realität (VR) und ihrer (möglichen) Integrierung in eine musikalische Komposition. Die zentrale Fragestellung, die dabei verfolgt wird, lautet: Wie kann ein Musikstück, welches Virtuelle Realität verwendet, aussehen bzw. was muss für einen reflektierten Umgang mit Virtueller Realität im Rahmen einer musikalischen Komposition beachtet werden. Hierzu wird ein Kriterienkatalog entwickelt, anhand dessen Michel van der Aa’s VR-Installation Eight (2018–19) analysiert und eine mögliche praktische Umsetzung diskutiert wird.
N2  - This thesis deals with Virtual Reality (VR) and its (possible) integration into a musical composition. The central question pursued here is what can a piece of music which uses VR look like or rather what must be considered in the use of VR in the creation of a piece of music. To answer this question, I will develop criteria for a deliberate use of VR in the context of the composition of a piece of music. Subsequently, I will analyze Michel van der Aa’s VR installation Eight (2018–19) and discuss the practical implementation of a VR-based composition.
